Jack Ruthenberg

Jack is a writer-director and producer.
His DP documentary work has been selected for the London International Documentary Festival 2023, and as director he was shortlisted for Glasgow Film New Talent Scheme and his films have been selected for Lift-Off Sessions 2023 and shortlisted for Watersprites Film Festival 2023.
He is currently in preproduction on a Creative Scotland backed short about the folklore of East Glasgow (Each Ox was Ox) and developing a short period drama (Negative Fog) about censorship in a US government photography unit during the Great Depression.
He also works freelance as edit trainee and camera assistant, previous clients include Hello Fresh, Mayor of London and Pure Health.
He has recently completed his first feature film as 2nd AC on Salvation (Nicoll, 2025).
Jack is a King's College London alumni (2018) and earned an MFA in Film Practice from Bournemouth Film School.
He works across the UK, with bases in Glasgow and London.
